Missing Movies Icon under My TV |
|
|
I cannot enable the Movies icon. What am I doing wrong?
I have found a stand-alone software called My Movies, and added some entries
to that, but still no Movies-icon to the right of the My TV start-menu item.
I have tried to record programmes classiefied as movies, but still no icon.
Please let me into the secret! |

Ok, I actually had this happen to me the other day, and it happened when my
guide was not properly loaded (or not loaded at all). Make sure your guide
is setup correctly and all EPG data downloaded. If you get it then,
great...If not... I am sorry as I don't know from there. Just thought I
would let you know my experience with it. It happened to me when I was
experimenting with a new STB (set top box).

What area of the world are you from?
There are some regional dependencies for the Movies option.

I'm living Sweden. I have suspected the missing icon is due to a bad service
from the EPG-provider. But of course that cannot be verifed from your
living-room sofa.
So, you mean this really is the case?

ENABLE MOVIES NEXT OT TV ICON IN THE UK.
first goto Control Panel / Regional and Language Settings / Languages Tab /
Details Button and change default input language to US.
Then open regedit then add
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media
Center\Settings\MCE.GlobalSettings]
"systemGeoISO2"="US"
Now your keyboard will now be in a US layout, so you can move it back to UK
layout.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layouts\00000409]
"Layout File"="KBDUK.DLL"
"Layout Text"="United Kingdom"
"Layout Display Name"="@%SystemRoot%\\system32\\input.dll,-5000"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard
Layout\DosKeybCodes]
"00000409"="uk"
The movies browers sould show up next to tv on the right side of it. |
