I have a desktop with windows xp sp2 when my puter goes into standby it will
not come back upso I end up having to cut the puter off then it takes me
30min or more of turning it off and on to get it to boot please help I have
tried every other resource.

Sounds like a hardware issue. Possibly overheating, but it could be some
component that's failing but no quite gone yet.
