Jim,

I have part # X10-62375-01. This one seems to have outdated software discs
too. More info:
SKU# A2A-00001
UPC#805529867765

All files and the media center extender software is dated 8-2004 and has a
version of 5.1.2700.2180

Is there a way to confirm via the part number?

The part number I currently have (Version 1.0) is X10-62420-01

The part number on other boxes for Xbox Extender is X10-6237501

The fact that it is a lower number has me concerned. Can anyone confirm?

Extender Manager->Help About Version

This reports 5.1.2700.2180

When the updated disc loads on the xbox, you'll see a Dec, 2004 date

When the xbox starts up w/ the disk in - I don't see any date at all

Has this ever worked correctly with HBO? When did you buy your Xbox Extender?

This has never worked w/ HBO. I bought the Xbox Extender kit about 10 days
ago.

In which case your remedy is to return it to your supplier as it is old stock.
Get it replaced with the current version that _does_ work properly with HBO.

The Part number on the Extender Disc for the Xbox is X10-62430-01 and what
seems to be a date code of 0904

The Part number for the Extender Disc for the PC has a part number of
X10-62445-01 and has a date code of what seems to be 0904
