I am having a problem getting into my gmail account on my laptop. It keeps
telling me that gmail requires Active X controls to be enabled. I checked my
desktop, and the laptop together to see what the difference was, and there is
no difference in the control settings. So I am stumped as to what the
problem may be. I also have problems downloading updates, it has been like
this for awhile, it's really my boyfriends laptop, and he didn't notice that
his updates weren't installing. I had to tell him, cause I checked on them,
and they have all failed. Right since the beginning of the time he got the
laptop. If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you

If the active x is installed, try opening internet options, settings, view
objects,
R.click the active x,select,update,close out.
