Hi All,

I recently bought a 20GB ipod from someone. My previous one was
stolen.

First, when I connected it iTunes did not start. So, I uninstalled it
and re-installed using the CD. First thing I noticed is that it was
running slower than a turtle. It ran the install for more than 15
minutes. All this time the iPod kept saying "Do not Disconnect".

After several re-boots of my computer, several downloads of iTunes
Updater, and several attempts I finally got the Updater to recognize
the iPod and reformat it. After it was done performing the restore it
told me to leave the iPod connected while it completes the restore
process.

That was 1 hour ago.......how fricken long does this take? How do I
know if there is an issue? Why does it take do damn long????

Please help!!!!

I'm not fond of iPod software either. Try asking over at iPod support forum.

are you using USB or firewire? As I recall the first boot and format
hangs if you connect with usb. It happened to be anyhow. Switched to
Firewire for first install and USB after that.

I'm having lots of problems with iTunes at the moment... I've decided to just get rid of my iPod now. I hate them!

My iPod suddenly froze when I was listening to it, I had to let the battery run down completely before it would work again. Why are ipod's so in favour by the Public I wonder?

I have never used ipod, but I hate it. Some websites offered free ipods if you get enough members for them, then it started to spam the Internet as hell.

Yep, now like half of all the pop-up adds on the net are 'win a free ipod'. Speaking of that, anyone tried shooting that duck to win a free iPod on one of those adds? I think the creators of that ad should make it into a game, it's so fun Very Happy.

Oh and the one where you have to pick the cup, that's fun too.

Can someone tell me what I'm going on about?
