Hi, I have downloaded the Windows XP Upgrade Advisor program
and got it up and running with the latest updates available online.

It freezes up while running when It gets to this stage:

Processing system files ...
DVD movie player

If I hit [Alt] [Ctrl] [Del], it shows that
Msgsrv32 is not responding

I'm using Windows 98 (4.10.1998)
And I don't have any DVD movie player software installed

Please help,
Charles A. Gilbert

If the Upgrade Advisor freezes during its scan, that does not bode well

for a successful upgrade to XP no matter what the error message. What
are the hardware specs of this computer?

XP is a better operating system than Win98, but forcing the upgrade on a
machine that may be 6 or 7 years old and was designed for Win98 may not
be the best decision.
