From Msinfo32, Net Diagnostics fails one of the two automatically assigned
Dns Server address in Dns search order test on the network adapter. Ping
times out on that one and retuns address on the other. So I override
automatic by entry of the good one in Tcp specification.
My question is, why is the server assigning me two Dns addresses when only
one ever works? Would appreciate answer that explains this.

The DHCP server is apparently configured to give out two DNS addresses, so
remove the incorrect address from the DHCP server options.
