Hello,
I have a LinkSys Media Center extender that was connected to my Del
Media Center PC through a LinkSys router. The extender was workin
fine and I was able to watch recorded shows (from the Dell PC) on m
television.

My LinkSys router stopped working and I replaced it with a Verizo
Westell DSL modem/router.

Now my LinkSys Media Center extender can't access the Media Center PC.
It hangs on the blue screen 'Connecting to Media Center PC' an
eventually times out with a network error of 304.

Is it possible that my LinkSys MC Extender is not compatible with th
Westell Modem/router? Or, do I need to reinstall the LinkSys M
Extender software on the MCE PC?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Glori

Is the new router set up to assign TCP addresses?

can you post the IP address that the MCE computer is getting?

start, run
cmd [enter]

ipconfig/all [enter]

you can copy all the info to the clipboard and paste into a reply as
text.

While you're at it, please also post the IP address that your MCX has - on
the connecting/contacting screen, push More Info and look next to "IP
address"
