You need to go into Windows Media Player and do Find Album Info on the
problem album. MCE gets its information from the Windows Media Library so in
terms of managing how albums show up and preventing the computer from
messing up your albums, all that should be managed through WMP. Also check
the options on the Library tab in WMP as that will affect how WMP moves and
changes your files.

It does not do this with all albums but the odd few.
I am at present doing a clean install of MCE to see if that helps.
