Tried Sharing Printer, but I still can't remotely print! |

I have an HP printer hooked up to my desktop computer upstairs. I've shared
the printer, and I've named it "Printer". Simple right? I go downstairs to my
laptop and try to add the printer and nothing works! I tried adding it
through \\computer_name\printer_name and just browsing for it, and nothing
seems to work. Can anyone help me beyond what the basic help on Windows
provides? |

Did you enable File and Print Sharing?
Can the PC downstairs even 'see' the PC upstairs? Are they in the same
Workgroup?

Yes I did enable it. Yes it can see it because I see the desktop's name
"FAMILY" but no other options.

So the second PC cannot see the files and folders on the Family PC?
