Synctoy and USB drives |
|
|
Hi,
I have been using Synctoy and I have come up with a question.
Suppose I set up a sync folder pair between the harddisk and a US
drive. We
can assume that the USB drive is connected to the computer using th
first
available drive letter (f: maybe). Now suppose the next time I connec
the drive
I have another USB device already connected and already using thi
drive letter.
in this case the original USB drive is connected with an alternativ
letter (maybe G: )
When i sync again, it will try and copy everything to the wrong US
device
because it relies on the drive letter rather than the media.
So the question is, is there anyway of setting up this situation s
that
the drive letter does not matter
