.TIF IMAGES |

AN EMPLOYEE OF MINE CANNOT OPEN HIS .TIF IMAGES IN OUR APPLICATION
DATABASE....HE HAS A WINDOWS XP COMPUTER WITH ONLY SP1 ON IT....I DID A
WINDOWS UPDATE & SP2 WAS NOT AN OPTION....HELP!!

Next time please do not post in uppercase for in netiquette
that is considered as shouting and very rude.
It all depends on what app he is using to open the TIF images.
Having SP1 or SP2 does not make any difference.
You can use Paint to open them.
Start>All Programs>Accessories>Paint

Also, depending on your paint program, *i use ultimate paint* and am not
sure if windows paint allows the same, you can resave the .tif picture in a
different format.. just drop the 'file by type' box down when you go to
'save as'.... you can save in any other picture format of choice.... good

FYI, I ALWAYS WRITE IN CAPS....I KNOW WHAT "NETIQUETTE" IS & DON'T CARE IF
YOU THINK I'M SHOUTING AT YOU....SORRY IF YOU THOUGHT THAT, BUT THIS IS HOW I
TYPE & THIS IS HOW I WRITE NORMALLY.....ALL UPPERCASE!! THANX FOR THE INFO
ABOUT PAINT THOUGH. :) HAVE A GREAT DAY!
