I'm at wits end... every application I've tried to DL onto my computer will
not fully install. Everything from itunes, iPod, Quicktime, and nokia phone
manager s/w to yahoo IM upgrade. At first I thought it would be the
Apple/Windows incompatibility issues but it's all s/w.
They all seem to be doing fine until the "product registration" portion at
the end and then it just stops. Then I sit and wait but nothing ever
happens. I've actually watch the iTunes upgrades install completely and then
everything vanishes. I created a work around by quickly copying the files
and then pasting them into another folder before they vanished. This worked
but I'm tired of looking for "work arounds" for s/w that I need to run on my
computer. it's like I'm always in a freakin forum reading somebody elses
problem and trying 400 different solutions that never end up fixing the root
issue.
Is there something that I can use to check my system or my registries to see
if I've deleted some file that prevents the completion of my DL's? I'm to
the point where I'm about to do a complete reinstall of my OS but it's such a
pain and I'm sure I'll lose something.
I appreciate any help at all.
