I have my music collection and iTunes installed on my fileserver, but I
would like to rip CD's and manage my library from my notebook as well.
I need to keep the XML file on my fileserver for two reasons:

1) I plan on installing a Sonos (music server) system on my fileserver.

2) My iPod collection is neatly stored in the drawer of my home
entertainment center. The cables run to the fileserver keeping the
ipods out of sight and easily sync-able. I would like to keep this
setup rather than plugging them into my notebook.

I have searched all over the net for an answer to this and the only
clue that I ran across was this article:
http://www.macosx.com/content/faq.php/q5367/Sharing-An-Itunes-Library-On-a-Pc-And-a-Mac.html
that suggested using regedit to change the library path. It didn't
explain how and I don't know enough about regedit to figure this out.

Does anyone have any ideas?

thanks,

pete
