Hello,

My digital camera converts videos in .mov file and I normally use Windows
Movie maker for my films, editing.

When i try and import my .mov files it says the format is not supported by
Windows movie maker , anyone know how to get around this?

Thanks

In addition to what John has mentioned I use Video Cleaner to batch convert
MOV to WMV

As you have discovered .mov files
are not compatible with Movie Maker.

You'll have to download the files to your
hard drive and convert them to a supported format.

(.asf, .avi, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv )

.avi would be a good choice.

Here's some info on converting:

Additional possibilities:

convert mov to avi

MOV Converter

My camera also saves files as .mov (Nikon). I downloaded WinMPG Video
Convert and found it easy to convert to avi.
