I've recently been having some strange problems with my computer.

I've been unable to log-off or restart by using the start menu. I have XP
divided into 4 users, and all accounts are experiencing this problem.

Frequently, Norton will give me a message the MSMSGS is communicating in
some fashion or another. I've uninstalled MSMSGS and blocked it in the
firewall, but it still keeps happening.

Does anyone have any idea what i should do?

thanks!

What is the location of this "msmsgs.exe" on your hard drive. If it's not in
C:\Windows\System32 or C:\Program Files\Messenger\ then it's likely a virus.
