E-mailing pictures |

Hi,
When I e-mail a picture, the recepient receives the picture within the print
/ fax viewer, including all foward, backward & slideshow features. So the
recipient is able to not only view the sent picture, but also all my picture
files and even pictures from recently visited websites which I have no clue
how or why they are included. This could be potentially embarrasing.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

Are you basing this observation on what you
see if you view an image you e-mailed to
yourself? Your recipient will only receive the
specific files you attach to the message.
To eliminate the unwanted files...delete your
temporary internet files.

DearJohn,
Thanks for the response. The images are not just available to me on my own
computer. If I e-mail an image to my wifes computer, she can also view all
pictures in my files. I don't know how to prevent this. Can I remove &
reinstall the picture & fax viewer. Actually, I don't want the viewer at all
but don't know how to shut it off.

I suspect your wife's computer is on a network
along with yours? That would explain the access
to your files.
Windows Picture and Fax Viewer can be disabled
but you will lose some features...thumbnail view...
for example.
Here's how.
Go to Start / Run and enter the following command:
(To Disable)
Enter...... regsvr32 /u shimgvw.dll
(yes, the space after the 2 and u is required)
(You should see a dialog box that says:
DllUnregisterServer in shimgvw.dll succeeded)
(To Enable)
Enter...... regsvr32 shimgvw.dll
(yes, the space after the 2 is required)
(You should see a dialog box that says:
DllRegisterServer in shimgvw.dll succeeded)
Also..if you search on Google for:
disable windows picture and fax viewer
You may some registry tweaks.

Hi, I have a problem with the size of my e-mails on Hotmail. They are to
Big. Can I control the size of the images transmitted? David Lee Cook
