winlogin/HORM issue |
|
|
I am currently running HORM, use the Win Login component and have UICore
settings to include shutdown in the start menu. HORM seems to work fine if I
hibernate through xpepm -hibernate.
However, when I click on the start menu and select shutdown and then select
'hibernate', nothing happens other than the shutdown dialog disappears.
Actually, selecting "restart", " shutdown", and "standby" don't do anything
either, other than causing all my windows to disappear and requiring a reset.
It appears the only way to hibernate is through xpepm -hibernate. Should I
be able to hibernate (or anything else successfully) through the shutdown
dialog? |

That's an interesting question... never tried it from the windows
interface... I would potentially say "no" as the commant to initiate the
Hibernate with HORM is different from the standard hibernate command, isn't
it? , of course I have been known to be wrong sometimes :-)
thought also - this woudl definately allow you to use a custom shell, and
just have a command button that initiates the hibernate, right? (just
thinking out loud from your other post- I read them out of order)
Enjoy!
