I'm hoping someone here will be able to help even though this may not be
exactly the right forum (redirection would be appreciated, as well). I used
the registry edit which placed Start Netmeeting on my Windows Messenger task
list. However since downloading Skype, whenever someone tries to start a
Netmeeting session with me Skype opens. It doesn't matter if I'm logged into
Skype or have it completely shut down. Without uninstalling Skype does
anyone have any idea how I can get Netmeeting to open when it's a Netmeeting
session and Skype to open when it's a Skype session?

Thanks

Greetings,

To fix this, close both Skype and Netmeeting (if open), then download and run the following
..reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/netmdefault.reg

After this, it should work as expected.

Hi garbanzo,
Have you tried this?
To change the program that opens a file
Open My Documents.
If the file you want is not located in My Documents or its subfolders, use
Search to find it. To open Search, click Start, and then click Search.

Right-click the file you want to open in a different program, and then click
Properties.
On the General tab, click Change.
Click the name of the program in which you want the file to open.
Notes

To open My Documents, click Start, and then click My Documents.
This change affects all files that have the same file name extension as the
file you selected. For example, if you change the program that opens a .jpg
file, all .jpg files will open in this program.
You can also change the program that opens a file by right-clicking the
file, clicking Open With, and then clicking the program name. If the program
you want is not displayed, click Browse.

Hi,

First off, you can't find it easily in there.

Secondly, if he starts Skype again, it'll set it back.

My .reg file fixes both of these issues.
