Working with negatives. |

I have a friend who says he scanned his B/W 35mm negatives into his pc and
wants to know if there is any software (preferably freeware) which can
convert them into positves. I am not well up on working with photos.....can
anyone tell me if it is possible ?

I wonder if the scanner has some options
for converting the negatives.
Yes...it's possible. I suspect that practically
all digital image editors have this capability.
The freeware IrfanView might be worth a try:
Download IrfanView 3.97
http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967.html
(get the plug-ins too)
Just open your negative in IrfanView and
go to...Image / Negative.
They can also be converted in a batch...
Search the IrfanView help file for Batch
Conversion.

Most scanners have an option to do this. Tell yr friend to look in the help
file of his scanner software.
