Infrared Transfers and abilities |

Hello all
This may fall into the stupid question of the week category but...
I want to use infrared technology to transfer photos, etc. from my
Sharp phone to my Compaq Armada 1750. I have never even thought about
infrared before but I see it as an option on my phone and it seems to
be running on my PC. My question is: how is it supposed to work? I
tried just turning it on on my phone and sending the picture and it
says sending data but nothig seems to happen, it just keeps saying
sending data until I hit "cancel"
I am running XP Pro with SMC IrCC - Fast Intranet Port and in Device
Manager it says it is working properly.
I have absolutely no idea what to do or expect. The infrared icon does
not appear in the tray even though the check box is selected and, as
far as I can tell, the services required are running but what do I
know?
