My TV Crashes Media Center |
|
|
Sorry if this issue has been discussed here before. I've googled the
problem, but haven't found a satisfactory solution. I have an HP M390N Media
Center computer with a 3.2P4 processor, 1500 mB os Ram and an nVidia GeForce
5600 video card driver version 7.2.1.4 which I rolled back from the current
version in an attempt to correct the problem. Everything about the Media
Center worked as advertised until a few months ago. Now every time I clickon
"My TV" it locks momentarily and then goes to black with an error reporting
box that indicates an error signature in the app ehshell.exe app version
5.1.2600.2180. Can anyone here shed some light on a solution to this
problem...TIA |

No. As I mentioned in the original post, clicking on "My TV" starts the app,
but it freezes up right away and the screen goes black. I need to do a
ctrl>alt>delete just to get back to my desktop. |

Hi Ric,
I think we experience the same problem, I've described the problem a little
bit more, and placed two pics with the problem, could you confirm if we have
the same problem? The post is placed on 10/27/2005 and is named "PC crashes
when I try to watch Live-TV".
Thanks,
Charl

Charl...I don't get the static like screen in your shots. When I choose "My
TV" the small TV screen appears with the rotating icon then it just freezes.
The screen goes black for a second then I', back to the media center screen,
but it is unresponsive. I have to ctrl>alt>delete to get out and then the MS
problem reporting box shows up. I'm not experiencing re-boots, the other
apps in Media Center appear to work, but "My TV" crashes repeatedly. |
