I did a search but maybe my search criteria wasn't too good.

Is it possible to install SP2, and still allow my SP1 Images / Components be
available and un modified?
I want to start playing with SP2, but I can not afford for all my SP1 stuff
to be jacked with.

Thanks,
Richard

Hi Richard,

There are few aproaches but if you want to keep or modify your SP1 project later then the best aproach is to switch between SP1
database and SP2 database.

So before instaling SP2 you should:
- Stop MSSQLServer
- Backup "Windows Embedded Data" folder under different name aka "Windows Embedded Data SP1"
- Start MSSQLServer

Now install SP2 Database and you can play with SP2. If you need to work with SP1 you stop Server and rename "Windows Embedded Data"
to "Windows Embedded Data SP2" and then "Windows Embedded Data SP1" to "Windows Embedded Data" after which you start server and you
are on SP1 database once again.

This can be automated or there is even few better solutions in this NG to avoid renaming folders I think.

Slobodan
