Ever since the computer geniuses installed my ethernet connection, I nolonger
have a menu bar when I warm boot (control/alt/delete.) I cannot see my CPU
usage or current processes running so that I may close them. I also have to
right click the green sign in my systray to close the dern thing! I have
tried the original system recovery disks. Yeah, like that was gunna fix it!
I really don't know what else to do.

What you are describing is the "tiny foot print mode" of Task Manager. To
return it to normal: Launch Task Manager, then double click anywhere in its
border. For example, double clicking the left vertical edge will work to
bring back the "missing" Task Manager elements.
