How to delet image copies for good? |
|
|
Hi:
I have Windows XP Media Center.
I have attempted to delete my downloaded digital photo images from "my
pictures" folder after copying to CD and have realized that each time I
delete an image from the folder another copy is generated. I now have a
numerous amount of photo copies on my computer that I'd like to get rid of
but haven't been able to. Please, can anyone tell me what I can do to stop
this. I'd like to be able to delete all of the images on my hard drive after
I archive them. |

Common problem seen in these newsgroups. You are (unintentionally) moving
the mouse at the wrong moment when selecting the pictures. Windows is
interpreting that movement as a request to create a new copy.
Suggestion: To delete, click to select a file. Then press Delete on the
keyboard. If selecting multiple files next to each other in a list:
carefully click on first file. Release mouse button (do *not* move mouse
until button is fully released). Press and hold Shift on keyboard. Click
last file in list. Release key and mouse button. Press Delete on keyboard.
