Problem printing Web Documents |
|
|
We recently purchased a couple of new Dell Machines running XP Pro. We are
experiancing printing problems on these machines. I can print out documents
from Ecel, Word, and other programs just fine. But when I try to print a
document from the web I am getting an error. The error is that a page is
printed but it is blank except for the bottom line that has the source
printed on it. An example of the source is file://C:\Windows.......
I have tried printing to other network printers and not just the Canon
Imagerunner 400. They all have the same problem whcih leads me to beilieve it
is a setting issue with XP Pro?? Any help would be greatly, and I mean
GREATLY appriecated. |

I found the problem!!!! It was a permissions setting. When the user would
print it would show that the file was located in the Windows Temp Directory.
SO I went in and gave her permissions on the folder. When she tried again it
worked!! I found this out by loggin in as myself(admin rights) and having her
print the documents in question.

Start>Control Panel>Printers and Faxes>rightclick your printer.
Right below Sharing does it state to print offline only? Rightclick
it and it will switch to print online.
